The Rainbow Serpent slithers through
The idle landscape behind the scenes
Ah, this sunburnt land is not a white country
My soul sighs, ingesting the sun’s warmth
In this desert, the homeland of my dreams
Ancient eyes follow me
From where I cannot see
Ancestors listening
Through spirit ears
To the silence of my laughter
To the sound of parched tears
A waterhole was on the map
The painting in my mind’s eye
But as all, it was but a trap
A mirage in the desert sky
The guide behind my tired eyes
Places his arm around my waist
Implores me to release the ties
Knotted with too much haste
These dreamings you created
To learn of love and loss, now
Have come full circle, you’ve
Waited, suffered long enough
Sister, remember how
Your tribe is always near
You are forever loved, and
Your Source is always here
I sit
Connect
And feel
The everything
The wheel
Wrapped in the darkness of my skin
I know I am but light within
Kundalini takes my hand,
My throat, my thighs, my spine
I close my eyes
Let it all go
This story wasn’t mine
As gratitude pours in and
Out of my sacred heart
I bless the sky; a sunbeam
Blows a fervent kiss at me
And I wake up to the reality
Of my own newborn dream
